The Cursed Serpent & Kundalini Serpent That Moses Held Up

The Cursed Serpent & Kundalini Serpent That Moses Held Up

I heard someone say once that angels must look like serpents, because the fallen angel “Satan” tempted Eve and before he was cursed he was a walking serpent. It’s an interesting theory. Though it’s highly unlikely there was one literal angel named Satan. “Ha  satan” means “the adversary,” it’s a description or job title, not a name (personal label). YHWH is referred to as “satan” also. In 2 Samuel 24:1 YHWH incites David to take a census and in 1 Chronicles 21:1 that is attributed to “satan.” But the Tanakh (Old Testament) says that YHWH sends angels to do His work, and sometimes they’re adversaries (satans) like YHWH sent “satan” to Job to see if Job truly loved Him. YHWH also sends false prophets to test people (Deut. 13:3).

Because YHWH is seen as “satan” some people, then, try to say he is “the devil” even though Jesus’s Father is YHWH. The idea that there is an evil force working against the Most High creator seems to be where the idea of the demiurge came from. Not shockingly the demiurge is often portrayed as a serpent.

But what the Tanakh (OT) is showing us is that YHWH gives us freewill, He gives us a choice, He tests us to see how much we love Him. The allowance of “evil” is really the option for freewill. If you did not see any “bad” or “evil” options, you could not make “good” decisions and you’d basically be a robot just doing what you were always programmed to do. The idea of being constrained to only choose the options your creator wants you to do is seen as slavery. The option to choose differently is freedom. And, yet, atheists try to claim because there’s “evil” in the world an all-loving God couldn’t have created it. It’s by the appearance of “evil” in the world we know we were given free-will, which shows there was an all-loving creator who didn’t want to force us to do His will if we didn’t want to.

We Were Given the Choice of Life or Death

In the garden there was the Tree of Life, or the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil who’s fruit led to death.

Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, as well as death and disaster. 16 For I am commanding you today to love YHWH your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and increase, and YHWH your God may bless you in the land you are entering to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away and you do not listen, but are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them 18 I declare to you today that you will surely die; you shall not prolong your days in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.

The serpent said, “You will not surely die,” twisting YHWH’s words. The serpent knew that YHWH would not allow them to eat from the tree of life if they were disobedient, yet, there was a way for them to not die after eating the fruit (that is eating from the tree of life). But we know that YHWH guards the tree of life with a flaming sword.

YHWH’s word is referred to as a double-edged sword and it’s likely that the reason the sword is flaming is because it represents the lake of fire purification process. People get offended when they hear the “Word of God” that they need to stop sinning, the first reaction is to say, “We can’t!” The scriptures say otherwise, of course, and they will never get to eat of the tree of life if they won’t let the fiery Holy Spirit purify them.

Some examples of the double-edged sword:

  • Sun (represents life) vs. Moon (represents death)
  • Summer (represents life) vs. Winter (represents death)
  • Heaven (represents life) vs. Earth (represents death)
  • Original vegetarian diet (represents life) vs. Animal/Human-flesh-eating (represents death)
  • Bread (manna) in the wilderness (represents life) vs. Lusting for quail plague (represents death)
  • Commands on the door posts (represents life) vs. Blood on the door posts (represents death)
  • Commandment keeping (represents life) vs. Bowing down to idols (represents death)
  • Serpent lifted up on a pole (represents life) vs. Serpent cursed to bow down & eat dust (represents death)

As discussed earlier, some people ask why we’re even given an option. We know it’s because YHWH doesn’t want us to be forced to follow Him, but rather to choose to follow Him, to choose life over death.

From the Recognitions of Clement Chapter 53 Self-Love the Foundation of Goodness: “…In order, therefore, that there might be a distinction between those who choose good and those who choose evil, YHWH has concealed that which is profitable to men, i.e., the possession of the Heavenly Kingdom, and has laid it up and hidden it as a secret treasure, so that no one can easily attain it by his own power or knowledge. Yet He has brought the report of it under various names and opinions through successive generations, to the hearing of all: so that whosoever should be lovers of good, hearing it, might inquire and discover what is profitable and salutary to them; but that they should ask it, not from themselves but from Him who has hidden it, and should pray that access and the way of knowledge might be given to them: which way is opened to those only who love it above all the good things of this world; and on no other condition can anyone even understand it, however wise he may seem; but that those who neglect to inquire what is profitable and salutary to themselves, as self-haters and self-enemies, should be deprived of its good things, as lovers of evil things…”

Those who love to sin hate themselves, because they choose to die rather than choose to live. When told that the true gospel was that we can be without sin, many don’t see that as “good news” because they hate themselves (love sin). Those who truly love themselves want to stop sinning because they know that being without sin leads to life whereas the wages of sin is death. The people who want to stop sinning call the True Gospel, truly, “good news.”

The Spirit is the Serpent

As discussed in the “S/Word of God: YHWH’s Holy Spirit & Instructions For Life” article the fiery Holy Spirit is likely the Sword of the Spirit and the “Word of God.” We just have different terms for the same thing. That spirit is inside of us all. YHWH breathed that spirit into Adam and all of us when we’re conceived, it’s also called the “breath of life.” Remember that YHWH takes care of the good and bad the same way.

Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the tax collectors the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? Do not even the tax collectors so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

He gives the option of life (sun and rain) to the evil and unjust in the same way He sends it to us. His Spirit is there to be listened to, yet many “grieve” it by ignoring it and they sear their conscience. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t given the option to return (as we see in the prodigal son story). How can they return if the Spirit isn’t there to lead them out of their sin?

The word “Christ” means anointed. People who have been anointed with oil or the Holy Spirit as kings, priests, prophets, etc can be called Christs or Messiahs. They make up the body of Christ, which is the body of all of us who have been anointed by YHWH to do His will. See There Are No Other Saviors But The Ones YHWH Sends for more information on them.

From The Recognitions of Clement Chapter LIX: The Navi ̒Emet Y’shua (The True Prophet Jesus)

“But I would not have you think, that in saying this I take away the power of judging concerning things; but I give counsel that no one walk through devious places, and rush into errors without end. And therefore I advise not only wise men, but indeed ALL men who have a desire of knowing what is advantageous to them, that they seek after the Navi̒ ‘Emet Y’shua (The True Prophet Jesus); for it is he alone who knows all things, and who knows what and how every man is seeking. For he (Christ) is within the mind of every one of us but in those who have no desire of the knowledge of Elohim (YHWH) and His righteousness, he (Christ) is inoperative; but he (Christ) works in those who seek after that which is profitable to their spirits, and kindles in them the light of knowledge. So seek him (Christ) first of all; and if you do not find him, do not expect that you will learn anything from any other. But he is soon found by those who diligently seek him through love of the truth, and whose spirits are not taken possession of by immorality. For he is present with those who desire him in the innocence of their spirits, who bear patiently, and draw sighs from the bottom of their hearts through love of the truth. But he deserts malevolent minds, because as a navi he knows the thoughts of every one. And therefore let no one think that he can find him by his own wisdom, unless, as we have said, he empty his mind of all immorality, and conceive a pure and faithful desire to know him. For when any one has so prepared himself, he (Christ) himself as a navi (prophet), seeing a mind prepared for him, of his own accord offers himself to his knowledge.

When someone is ready to repent, the Christ, or anointing will offer knowledge of YHWH and His righteousness. But the important thing is the idea that the Christ, or Spirit of Anointing is inside of the righteous and the unrighteous also, but it’s like a double-edged sword that can lead to life if you follow the Holy Spirit, or death if you follow the Anti-Christ Spirit.

If you see the Holy Spirit (Kundalini energy) symbolized as a serpent you can see how apropos it is. Snakes shed their skin. If we were born sinless, we were born children of YHWH. But the people of the world tempted us to sin. [Parents encouraged lying (white lies to relatives, Santa Claus, etc.), media promotes lying, etc.]

When we started to sin, it’s like we shed the old serpent and became a new creature, a “child of the devil.” Then, when we got born again, we died to that old life, and shed that skin, and became a new creature (a child of YHWH) once again. Every time we choose life (instead of death) by repenting of the past, we’re shedding that old “devil skin” (the worldly/earthly father) in order to look more like our Heavenly Father instead.

Christ Is Like A Serpent

John 3:13 No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven — the son of man. 14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the son of man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

Most people tend to think that is referring to Christ alone, although as discussed in the article “Believers in Christ Have Descended From Heaven” the term “son of man” represents mankind. And in the article about the Lake of Fire discussing the Rich Man and Lazarus parable, I discuss how in order to be saved from the “lake of fire” you need to believe someone who’s come back from the dead, and that’s not just Jesus (Yehoshua), it’s likely referring to believers who have died to their old lives and been born again and descended from heaven to speak to the unbelievers.

But, even if you think John 3:14 is only referring to Jesus (Yehoshua), he was lifted up like the snake after his death (which represents new life) and Moses lifted up the snake that cured the disease from the other fiery serpents (which represents new life). So, the end result is an upright serpent on a pole.

Christ Was Hung On A Tree / Stake / Pole

The word usually translated as cross, stauros, means pole or stake, not cross.

From Wikipedia.org:

Etymology

The word stauros comes from the verb ἵστημι (histēmi: “straighten up“, “stand“), which in turn comes from the Proto-Indo-European root *steh2-u-pole“,[1] related to the root *steh2to stand, to set[2] (the same root is found in German Stern, or Stamm, the English “stand“, the Spanish word estaca, the Portuguese word estaca, the Polish stać, the Italian stare, of similar meanings).[3][4]

Homeric and classical Greek

In Homeric and classical Greek, until the early 4th century BC, stauros meant an upright stake, pole,[5][6] or piece of paling, “on which anything might be hung, or which might be used in impaling [fencing in] a piece of ground.[7]

In the literature of that time, it never means two pieces of timber placed across one another at any angle, but always one piece alone,[8] and is always used in the plural number, never in the singular.[5][9]

Furthermore, the book of Acts says he was hung on a tree, although the word translated as “tree”is “xulon” which means “anything made of wood, a piece of wood, a club, staff; the trunk of a tree.”

The idea that he was crucified on a cross, actually makes us lose the understanding that Moses lifting up a serpent on a pole was a shadow of Jesus (Yehoshua) being lifted up on a pole (or stake). Of course, there are both good and bad understandings of the same symbol, the serpent Moses held up was good because it healed people, but it was later worshiped and YHWH was pleased when the brazen serpent, Nehushtan, was destroyed. In the same way, Jesus (Yehoshua) saved people who had faith, but later on he was worshiped, incorrectly, as YHWH, and those crosses will be destroyed one day. The following video discusses that.

Christ was killed in Golgatha

The gospels have a lot of the same events, but when it comes to what happened with the “crucifixion” there are conflicting stories concerning whether or not Judas kissed Jesus (Yehoshua) to let the men know who he was, or whether Jesus (Yehoshua) turned himself in. The Islamic view is that he wasn’t even literally crucified (because the wages of sin is death but he had no sin), and someone else may have taken his place. The reason for these stories disagreeing with each other at this juncture in time, may be because the crucifixion story is a parable. The early followers had a Hebrew Matthew that claimed YHWH said Jesus (Yehoshua) was begotten of YHWH at his baptism.

“After the people were baptized, Jesus also came and was baptized by John. And as Jesus came up from the water, Heaven was opened, and He saw the Holy Spirit descend in the form of a dove and enter into Him. And a voice from Heaven said, ‘You are my beloved son; with you I am well pleased.’ And again, ‘Today I have begotten you.’ “Immediately a great light shone around the place; and John, seeing it, said to Him, ‘Who are you, Lord? And again a voice from Heaven said, ‘This is my beloved son, with whom I am well pleased.’ Then John, falling down before Him, said, ‘I beseech You, Lord, baptize me!’ But He forbade him saying, ‘Let it be so; for thus it is fitting that all things be fulfilled.’” (Epiphanius, Panarion 30.13.7)

And according to Acts 13:30-33 they believed he became YHWH’s son at his resurrection. So, it may be that his baptism and resurrection were the same event but told in different parables to convey different teachings. If it is parabolic, it’s no wonder that the place where he was crucified had a symbolic name, Golgatha.

Matthew 27:32 Along the way they found a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross of Jesus. 33 And when they came to a place called Golgotha, which means The Place of the Skull..

We are to do what he did, and pick up our “cross” or “stake” and follow after him. We are supposed to be lifted up on a pole, and be “begotten” of YHWH. We call that event being “born again” and we believe it happens at our baptism (which is a symbolic death and rebirth). So, why do we tend to think it didn’t happen for Jesus (Yehoshua) at his baptism?

How do we die to ourselves?

We crucify the flesh.

Romans 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and co-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

According to 1 John 3, the Father YHWH’s Spirit inside of us is bearing witness that we’re the children of God because we “doth not commit sin.” We have to mortify the fleshy desires, “the deeds of the body,” and walk in the Spirit instead.

Where do we mortify the deeds of the body?

In our minds, in between our temples, in the place of the skull. We have to make the decision to stop sinning by putting to death the sinful thoughts that we think. So, if our crucifixion is allegorical, then perhaps Christ’s was too.

The Standing One

The early followers of Jesus (Yehoshua) had an interesting term for him. They called him “The Standing One.” See this video playlist for more information on that.

Simon the Magician falsely claimed to be the Messiah, and he did that by claiming to be “the Standing One.”

“Zacchai had written to him from Caesarea, that one Shimon, a Samaritan magician, was subverting many of our people, asserting that he was the Standing One—that is, in other words, the Moshiach—and the great power of El Elyon, which is superior to the Creator of the world; at the same time that he showed many miracles, and made some doubt, and others fall away to him.” Recognitions of Clement Chapter LXXII: Kefa Sent to Caesarea

“This Shimon’s father was Antonius and his mother Rachel. By tribe he is a Shomroni from a village of the Get tones; by profession a magician yet exceedingly well trained in the Greek literature; desirous of glory, and boasting above all the human race, so that he wishes himself to be believed to be an exalted power, which is above YHWH the Creator, and to be thought to be the Moshiach, and to be called the Standing One. And he uses this name as implying that he can never be dissolved, asserting that his flesh is so compacted by the power of his divinity, that it can endure to eternity. Hence, therefore, he is called the Standing One, as though he cannot fall by any corruption” Recognitions of Clement Chapter VII: Shimon HaMag: His History

The name “Standing One” implies the idea of Jesus (Yehoshua) being raised up and standing tall, like the idea of the serpent on the pole. Those who were considered righteous in the bible are often associated with “standing” language.

Back in the Garden of Eden The Serpent Looked Like Christ

We know the serpent was forced to crawl on the ground after Adam disobeyed, but what this shows us is that the serpent was upright originally. If Christ is like an upright standing serpent, then that goes to show the serpent that tempted Eve looked like Christ. Those who think that the serpent was some evil being will probably not like that comparison, but it’s pretty clear that YHWH gives us the choice between life and death and YHWH’s Spirit is inside of us all. My theory here is that the serpent is YHWH’s Spirit. He presents us with options, whether to obey Him or not.

How could Job have proved that he really loved YHWH? The adversary, “satan,” acted like a prosecutor and said to YHWH, you’ll never know if Job truly loves you until you take away the things you’ve blessed him with. So, YHWH allowed it to prove Job truly loved Him. In the same way, we are given opportunities in our life to prove we love Him, or to prove that we have other idols above Him in our life.

As I say in the video we can either choose to follow the Holy Spirit and be the image of God or we can choose to follow the Anti-Christ Spirit and be the image of the beast. When we look like God we are walking upright like men, like the Standing One, actually. When we follow the Anti-Christ Spirit we look like pigs (low to the ground wallowing in mire), like dogs (low to the ground, begging for scraps), and like reptiles and vipers both of which are very low to the ground, “eating dust.”

Mankind Was Made In the Image of God

Genesis 1:25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that crawls upon the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and the livestock, and over all the earth itself and every of creature that crawls upon it.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

The image of God is male and female. Wisdom personified came out of God to make us, just like Eve comes out of Adam, and the Bride of Christ comes out of Jesus (Yehoshua) and since the early followers believed Adam didn’t sin, it seems that they may have thought the story of Adam and Eve was a parable for all mankind sinning. When Eve was taken out of Adam, humanity symbolically lost it’s wisdom (the Holy Spirit), hence the fall (following the Anti-Christ Spirit instead). We even call it “the fall” like a serpent falling from an upright position down to the ground.

Mankind originally had the Holy Spirit and looked like God, they were in His image. They had dominion over the animals and creeping things. Notice the comparison, and then how as mankind started to sin more and more they get referred to as dogs, swine, and vipers, unclean animals close the ground. Sinful humans are the image of beasts. But those who keep the commandments of God are the image of God. This is what Revelation is all about, revealing the Body of Christ and the Body of Christ separating from the worshipers of the beastly habits.

The pharisees (and priests/pastors of today) were referred to as vipers, the figurative snakes of our time that tempt people into staying in sin. The rulers of the Jews wanted to keep the sacrifices, where they made money off of people’s sin, and today we see the priests and pastors making money off of telling people they’re slaves to sin also. They don’t preach the True Gospel that people can be no longer slaves to sin.

Jesus (Yehoshua) states that anyone who sins is a slave to sin, and we know those who go back to sin are like beasts (dogs returning to vomit and pigs wallowing in the mire). Those who sin are “of the devil,” that is they’re following the Anti-Christ Spirit, and those who “doth not commit sin” show to the world the Heavenly Father is their their spiritual father.

When we die to our old life, “crucify” our fleshy desires, empty ourselves, and do our Father’s will, we begin to look like YHWH. We go from looking like animals (pigs, dogs, vipers) to standing up and becoming like the “serpent on a pole.” The Holy Spirit lifts us up. The Holy Spirit is fiery. He convicts us of our sins and we have to have those impurities burned out of us like dross in the lake of fire.

Kundalini Serpent

Kundalini SerpentsChrist, the Standing One, is represented by a snake standing upright on a pole. That is what the chakra system is set up with, where the crown chakra is above the head. When we fell into sin, our spirit inside became like the serpent forced to slither on the ground and got all tangled up inside. What we do inside spiritually, affects our outside physical bodies, and also the spiritual chakras. Many people meditate in order to work on their chakras.

The best thing to do is always to work on yourself spiritually. The articles on the Lake of Fire and the Seven Essene Mirrors will give you a good idea on why we need to purify ourselves. As we purify ourselves the chakras will start to come into alignment. This is not to say just ignore them. But, for people who are new to this idea and feel like they have to go out of their to “open their third eye” or work on their chakras, you don’t need to. Simply working on ourselves spiritually and getting to agape love (which is the Golden Rule) will open everything for us. However, while we work on ourselves we still have to spiritually detox and the process should be taken at a slow and steady pace.

There are those who warn of the “Kundalini Spirit” (which is basically the fiery Holy Spirit). The reason for this is because when you attempt to “Awaken the Kundalini Spirit” you’re basically turning up the heat on the lake of fire as you would turn the heat up on a sauna to sweat more toxins out. In other words, you’re trying to purify yourself spiritually a lot quicker than you would have, had you not been actively trying to “Awaken the Kundalini Spirit.” Instead of sweating a lot (as you would in an extremely hot sauna), when you turn up the lake of the fire on yourself, you’re forced to deal your sins or “shadow side”. Your negative aspects will be shown to you through the Seven Essene Mirrors. It will be more intense if you go out of your way to do this,  and  you will start to reap what you sowed from long ago.

If you don’t want to have bad karma kick you in the ass, so to speak, I would suggest checking out the deliverance from demon page. Even if you don’t believe in demons, the techniques will be good “shadow work”. We have all sorts of different terms for basically the same thing. Demons are archons, Jinn, genies, nephilim, fallen angels, egregores, shadow-sides, etc. But meditating on what you need to work on will still result in getting purified if that’s what you’re after. The Most High Creator of All is pure love, and wants us to be cleansed from these negative aspects of ourselves, no matter what language we speak or what words we use.
